Steam Cleaning & Hot Water Pressure Washer:

Use 1 to 2 pints in replacement of each 4 pounds of powder normally used, or 1 ounce per gallon at the nozzle of the steam gun. The concentration may be as high as 1 part Safe-N-Clean to 1 part water in the solution tank. This is possible because there are no powders in Safe-N-Clean to fall out to the bottom of the tank, subsequently clogging small orifices, tubing, etc., and scale in the steam coils does not occur. This highly concentrated solution may be varied to fit any job by a single turn of a metering valve. Safe-N-Clean is safe on any surface that will tolerate steam. Because of colloidal action Safe-N-Clean keeps scale from forming in the steam coils.

In spray washing, best results have been obtained by using high pressure, low volume equipment, i.e., 500 pounds pressure [or higher] and a volume of 2-3 gallons per minute. The best spray nozzle to use is the 20 degree Vee Jet type. The best method of application is to wet the surface to be cleaned with Safe-N-Clean and water, at the desired concentration. Let it stand until the soil on the surface is loose.

Concentration's will very to fit the job, 10 parts water to 1 part Safe-N-Clean is a good place to start. Always start at the bottom of the surface to be cleaned and apply the solution upward, allowing the solution time to work. Let Safe-N-Clean do the hard job. The actual cleaning occurs during the rinse. Using the equipment described above, start the rinse operation at the top of the surface and rinse downward. Hold the spray nozzle of the gun approximately 6-8 inches from the surface at a 45 degree angle and move forward. This action causes the water to penetrate under the loosened soil and to roll it forward in front of the spray nozzle. With very light mixtures of Safe-N-Clean in the rinse, the dirt or grim cannot re-adhere to the surface that has just been cleaned.

There are many more applications for Safe-N-Clean Industrial Cleaner Degreaser. When in doubt, try a test spot. On smooth surfaces, spray on and wipe off is usually sufficient. On grained or rough surfaces or where exceptionally difficult stains or soils are encountered, some agitation with an appropriate brush may be required. Where applicable, always wash from the bottom up and rinse from the top down. This will prevent streaking.
