SECTION 5 - HEALTH HAZARD DATA
EFFECTS OF EXPOSURE:
[1] Eyes: Contact by vapors, mist, and concentrate is moderately irritating to the eyes, as with hand soap, shampoos, etc. [2] Inhalation: Prolonged inhalation of mist could cause respiratory tract irritation. [3] Skin Contact: Prolonged contact will de-fat and dry skin to a point, persons with sensitive skin may experience mild to moderate redness of irritation. [4] Ingestion: The effects of swallowing excessive amount are unknown. The ingestion of moderate amounts has caused diarrhea and vomiting. [5] Chronic Effects of Exposure: This product is not considered hazardous by OSHA communication standards. The effect of overexposure is unknown and there are no known medical conditions that are generally aggravated by exposure. It is recommended that any person with any sort of preexisting medical condition should consult a physician prior to using this product.
SECTION 6 - EMERGENCY AND FIRST AID PROCEDURES
PRACTICAL FIRST AID TREATMENT PROCEDURES:
[1] Eyes: Flush affected eyes with plenty of water for 15 minutes while holding eyelids open. Get medical attention if irritation persists. [2] Inhalation: Remove person to fresh air and get medical attention immediately if difficulty in breathing, shortness of breath, or burning of respiratory tract is observed or reported. [3] Skin Contact: Wash with soap and water if irritation is noted. Get medical attention if skin has broken out from prolonged contact. [4] Ingestion: If conscious give lots of milk or water to dilute. Get medical attention. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious or convulsing person.
SECTION 7 - EMPLOYEE PROTECTION
PERSONAL PROTECTION EQUIPMENT AND RECOMMENDATIONS: H.M.I.G. Rating A
[1] Eye Protection: Wearing safety glassed is usually sufficient to prevent liquid from splashing into eyes, goggles may be required [especially when handling concentrated or heated solutions]. [2] Protective Clothing: Brief contact is not irritating. Prolonged immersion in high concentrations may cause discomfort and local redness.
SECTION 8 - STORAGE & HANDLING
STORAGE: Store product in a coo dry place and keep lid tightly closed. Avoid contact with skin and clothing. Remove and wash clothing contacted by solution or concentrate. DO NOT GET IN EYES. Wash thoroughly after handling. BROKEN OR LEAKING CONTAINERS: Shut off leaking container, if it can be done safely. Stop and soak up spread of material with absorbents, dispose of in accordance with local , state, and federal requirements.
